What is osteopathy?
Every person is not only a body, but also feelings, experiences, memories, reactions. All this is not just “somewhere inside”, but is directly reflected in the body: in muscles, in breathing, in posture, in tension. My job as a therapist is to hear this without words, to help the body relax, heal and return to its natural rhythm of life.
Osteopathy is a non-drug, gentle and precise method of restoring health. An osteopath is not a massage therapist or a manual therapist. This is a specialist who, with the help of sensitive hands, determines where in the body the mobility of tissues is impaired - be it bones, muscles, fascia, blood vessels or nerves - and gently restores natural movement. According to the osteopathic approach, the human body has an internal ability to self-regulate and heal itself. But when a “block” occurs somewhere – due to trauma, stress, inflammation, chronic tension – these abilities weaken. The osteopath works with the causes, not the symptoms. By removing internal restrictions, he helps the body restore balance.
